The Universal Hope Initiative (UHI) is the passion project of Holly Adams Pratt, UHI's Executive Director. Holly is an immigration attorney, who founded UHI in 2007 after volunteering in a Liberian refugee camp. She has experience with various non-profit and non-governmental organizations, including: Human Rights Watch, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Children International, and Casa Cornelia Law Center. Holly earned a B.A. in International Affairs, with a concentration in Sub-Saharan Africa from George Washington University and her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law. In addition, UHI would not be possible without the help and support of Holly’s husband (Jason) and children (Sophia and Jack). The Pratt family lives most of their time in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. They also spend time in Puerto Rico every winter and hope to spend more time in Ireland soon.

Jeremiah Burgess is UHI's Program Coordinator in Liberia. He is co-founder and Executive Director of our partner organization, the Self-Help Initiative for Sustainable Development (SHIFSD). Jeremiah holds a B.S. in Economics from the University of Liberia and numerous certificates in non-profit management and economic development. He has over 10 years of experience in working for social change in Liberia.  Jeremiah lives in Monrovia with his wife and three children. You can reach Jeremiah at jburgess@shifsd.org. 

Sister Claudette Prevot is UHI's Program Coordinator in Haiti. She is a Franciscan nun helping to run an orphanage, primary school, vocational school, medical clinic, and women's group in rural Haiti.  She also holds a B.A. in Business Management from the University of Fondwa and has been working for social and economic change in Haiti since 2001.
